Nomad is a sales channel in the Centrapay business portal that lets a business accept payments without hardware. You log in on any phone, tablet or desktop, enter an amount, and Nomad generates a QR code for the customer to scan and pay.
Nomad is available for physical merchant sites. Turning it on costs nothing. Payments are charged at the in-store rate of your Acceptance Programme, the same as any other Centrapay sales channel.

What Nomad costs

Payments taken through Nomad are charged at the in-store rate of your active Acceptance Programme, which is the same rate you pay on any other Centrapay sales channel. If you already accept Centrapay on a terminal, nothing about your pricing changes.

Questions
Does Nomad cost anything?
No. Turning on Nomad is free. Payments are charged at the in-store rate of your active Acceptance Programme, the same as any other Centrapay sales channel.
Do my customers need a particular app?
They can pay with Payap, or scan the code with their phone camera and pay with a supported app.
Can I take card payments through Nomad?
No. Nomad only takes payments on the Centrapay network. If you need to accept cards as well, a terminal or POS integration does that, and both can run alongside Nomad.
What happens if the customer doesn’t pay in time?
The payment request runs for two minutes. If it isn’t completed, you can tap Recreate Request to send the same one again.
Can I use it on more than one device?
Yes. Open Nomad on as many devices as you need. Everyone on your team can take payments.
Can I use Nomad online?
Nomad is for in-store and on the go merchants. For online payments, Centrapay network works with Shopify and other e-commerce platforms.
Can I issue a refund through Nomad?
Yes. You can easily make refunds on the payments page of the Centrapay business portal.
